A little DIY dentistry

I lost a filling in one of my molars a couple of weeks ago. I had originally filled it with orthodontic wax, but that didn’t work so well. I picked up a temporary filling kit from the pharmacy. It has worked a little better – it’s much more durable than the wax.

With finances being tight, I don’t know when I’ll be able to make it to a dentist. I do have dental insurance through my work, but I’m scared that even with insurance, I won’t be able to afford my part of the cost. If just a filling is all that’s needed, I’d probably be fine. But if it needs a crown… whoa, boy. Crowns are crazy expensive.

So in the meantime, I’ll have to stick to DIY dentistry until I can get ahead a little more on the budget.

We do what we can, right?
